mutual responsibility is an illusion
if i hurt someone, i am responsible for that.
this is simple, and easily understood by children.
"if i'm sad does that make it ok to hurt someone i care about?"
the answer is obviously no.
once (but not just once), out of a vicious self-justification, i insisted on mutual responsibility, as a way to blame someone i hurt... for being hurt.
this sucks!!
